Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey PC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join the Property Owners Association department in our Galleria office in Houston. You will perform legal research, review pleadings, and prepare legal documents while attending hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, is licensed in Texas, and has 2+ years in real estate litigation or POA matters.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed in the state of Texas.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate litigation, property owners association law, deed restriction, and/or lien enforcement matters is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee/review pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. relating to the firm’s clients in both deed restriction enforcement and collection litigation, counseling and transactional matters as assigned;
Oversee and manage high volume pre-litigation and litigation docket;
Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
Client interaction/development.
Help coordinate workflow and supervise paralegals.
As needed, work with POA Shareholders and/or Associate attorneys and staff in other firm offices.
