Job summary

Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey PC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Property Owners Association department in Houston. The role involves legal research, fact investigation and drafting of documents, with exposure to hearings, mediations, depositions and trials.

The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctorate, Texas license, and at least 2 years of real estate litigation or POA experience, with proficiency in both litigation and transactional work.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed in the state of Texas.
• At least 2 years of experience in real estate litigation, property owners association law, deed restriction, and/or lien enforcement matters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee/review pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. relating to the firm’s clients in deed restriction enforcement and collection litigation.
• Oversee and manage high-volume pre-litigation and litigation docket.
• Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Client interaction and development.
• Coordinate workflow and supervise paralegals.
• Collaborate with POA Shareholders and/or Associate attorneys and staff in other offices.
