Safeguard Law Group, a consumer protection law firm, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our New Jersey practice. This remote role involves drafting pleadings and memoranda, managing a heavy workload, and handling client communications.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the New Jersey bar, has at least 1 year of law firm experience, superior organizational and writing skills, and the ability to work with senior management across the firm. Travel for court appearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff and management.
• Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload in New Jersey.
• Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Perform legal research on contract law and consumer law issues.
• Occasional travel for in-court appearances.
