Safeguard Law Group seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Illinois practice, with remote work options. The ideal candidate drafts pleadings and memoranda, manages a heavy workload, and handles consumer-protection matters, including civil litigation and transactional work.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, Illinois bar admission, and ability to coordinate with our New York headquarters via phone and email.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm's clients in Illinois.
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• While this role is based from home, you will be required to travel for in court appearances.
