Safeguard Law Group, a consumer protection firm, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney willing to work remotely while residing near Houston, TX. The role entails handling a heavy workload, drafting pleadings and memoranda, and interfacing with the main office in New York by email and Teams.

The ideal candidate will be admitted in Texas with at least 1 year of law firm experience, outstanding writing and research abilities, and strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and client matters.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with management and staff.
• Strong legal research skills; LexisNexis proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a heavy, diversified caseload in Texas.
• Communicating with clients regarding matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; reviewing/drafting agreements.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Conducing legal research related to contract and consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances as needed.
