Job summary

Safeguard Law Group is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our consumer protection practice. This remote role is based from San Antonio, Texas, with work communications to our New York HQ by email or Teams.

The ideal candidate will draft pleadings and memoranda, handle a heavy Texas caseload, and perform legal research. Texas bar admission and at least 1 year of law firm experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
• Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management
• Strong legal research skills -- LexisNexis a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Texas
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Legal research related to contract law and other consumer law topics
• Travel for in-court appearances may be required
