Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC. is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our team remotely, with the ability to travel for in-court appearances and to work from home while handling a heavy caseload in Illinois-related matters.

The ideal candidate is admitted to practice in Illinois, with at least 1 year of law firm experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to ethical, client-focused service in consumer protection and related civil litigation.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant law firm experience.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a range of staff.
• Strong legal research skills; LexisNexis a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a heavy and diversified client caseload in Illinois.
• Communicate with clients regarding matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review/draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Perform legal research on contract and consumer-law topics.
• Travel for in-court appearances as needed; work from home.
