Job summary

Safeguard Law Group is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our consumer protection practice, based from home with travel for court appearances. The candidate must be located in or near Traverse City, MI and admitted to practice in Michigan.

You will handle pleadings, memoranda, and diverse consumer law matters under guidance from the firm’s main office. The role emphasizes heavy workload, sharp organization, and excellent written and oral communication skills while upholding the

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Michigan.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees.
• Strong legal research skills; LexisNexis experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a heavy and diversified caseload in Michigan.
• Communicating with clients regarding matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; reviewing and drafting agreements.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Conducting legal research related to contract and consumer law.
