Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC, a consumer protection law firm in New Jersey, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our practice. The role centers on drafting pleadings and memoranda and managing a diverse consumer protection caseload, with remote collaboration with our New York office.

Candidates must be admitted to practice in New Jersey, have at least 1 year of law-firm experience, and be prepared for a heavy workload and travel for in-court appearances.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and currently admitted.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Ability to work with senior management and colleagues.
• Experience with LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload in New Jersey.
• Communicate with clients regarding matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research on contract law and consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances.
