Safeguard Law Group in Chicago seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our consumer protection practice. The role involves drafting pleadings and memos, handling a heavy workload, and communicating with our New York headquarters by email and Teams.

You must be admitted to the Illinois bar and have at least 1 year of law-firm experience. The position is hybrid with some in-court appearances and requires commuting to Chicago.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior management and staff.
• LexisNexis proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy, diversified caseload in Illinois.
• Communicate with clients regarding matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research on contract and consumer law issues.
• Hybrid role with travel for in-court appearances.
