Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC. seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Ohio practice. The ideal candidate has Ohio bar admission, at least 1 year of law firm experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle a heavy workload in consumer protection matters.

The role involves drafting pleadings and memos, and communicating with our New York office via phone and email. While based from home, travel to in-court appearances is required.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills -- LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Ohio.
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• While this role is based from home, you will be required to travel for in court appearances.
