Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC in Massachusetts seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our consumer protection practice. The ideal candidate has experience drafting pleadings and memoranda, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a heavy workload from a home-based setup with occasional court appearances.

Candidates must be admitted to the Massachusetts bar and have at least one year of law firm experience.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior management and staff.
• Strong legal research skills; LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload in Massachusetts.
• Communicating with clients regarding their matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; reviewing & drafting agreements.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to contract law and other consumer law issues.
• Remote work with travel for in-court appearances.
