Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC, a consumer protection law firm, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Virginia practice from a remote setting. The ideal candidate drafts pleadings and memoranda, handles heavy workloads, and communicates with our main office in New York via email and Teams.

Candidates must be located in Fairfax, Virginia or commutable distance, with opportunities to work on transactional and civil litigation matters under supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of relevant law firm experience
• Strong organizational & time-management skills to meet deadlines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and management

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload in Virginia
• Communicate with clients regarding matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda; review and draft agreements
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Conduct legal research related to contract and consumer law issues
• Travel for in-court appearances as needed
