Job summary

Veit is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to support the Project Manager from bid through project completion. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, solicit quotes, and help manage schedules and budgets while occasionally visiting job sites.

This role requires a bachelor’s in construction management or civil engineering or 3–5 years of experience. Strong communication, quantitative skills, and proficiency with Excel, AGTEK, and Bluebeam are essential; remote work in North Dakota

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of project management and bidding/estimating experience.
• Proven ability to read plans and prepare estimates.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope from bid to close under PM guidance.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and material estimates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and review bid forms.
• Maintain project schedules and budget control.
