Job summary

Veit & Co. is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager from project initiation through closeout, including scheduling, takeoffs, and bid preparation.

You may work on-site at times, with significant remote coordination and travel to sites across the United States. The role requires a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or 3–5 years of PM/estimating experience, plus strong communication and software skills (AGTEK/Bluebeam/HCSS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or 3–5 years of project management/estimating experience.
• Ability to read plans and specifications and perform takeoffs with industry software.
• Strong written and spoken communication, able to interact with management, clients, and vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Viewpoint Vista or HCSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager from start to finish, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and prepare bid proposals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, track progress, and report daily on job status.
• Support cost control, safety compliance, and client communications.
