Job summary

Veit is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to support the Project Manager from bid through project completion. The role includes reviewing plans, preparing estimates, managing schedules, and ensuring budget adherence on-site as needed.

The candidate should have a construction degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel, AGTEK, and Bluebeam. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or 3–5 years of project/estimating experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for client and internal collaboration.
• Proficiency with Excel and takeoff softwares for accurate estimates.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Estimator from start to finish, including scheduling and cost control.
• Review plans/specifications to determine scope and perform material takeoffs.
• Prepare bid proposals, solicit subcontractor quotes, and finalize bid numbers.
