Job summary

Veit is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to support bid preparation, planning, and on-site project execution. You will review plans, manage takeoffs, and coordinate with subs to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

You will communicate with clients and leadership, apply industry software tools, and help develop strong relationships for current and future work across nationwide project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or 3–5 years of project management and bidding experience.
• Experience reading plans and specifications and preparing estimates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for all levels of management and clients.
• Proficiency with construction software and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager from start to finish, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Review plans/specs to determine scope and prepare material takeoffs.
• Maintain project schedules and monitor progress on-site or office.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for bid preparation and quotes.
• Prepare bid proposals and deliver to owner/general contractor on time.
• Develop and nurture client relationships and inform leadership of project status.
