Job summary

Veit is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to bid and secure construction projects and manage awarded contracts from start to finish, including scheduling, cost containment, progress monitoring, compliance, and client contact.

You will develop bids from plans and specs, coordinate pre-construction meetings, manage costs, billing, and changes, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of 5 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Construction Bidding and Project Management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with MS Teams is desirable but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate information to all levels of management, employees, external vendors, and other business associates.

Responsibilities

• Bid opportunities: identify, pursue, and prepare bids for projects.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings with project managers, field, and office support.
• Develop bids by reviewing plans and specifications, calculating quantities, gathering quotes, and constructing the bid.
• Manage project costs by tracking labor, equipment, and materials.
• Oversee billing, accounts payable/receivable, and change orders to maintain profitability.
