Aston Carter is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead multi-entity accounting in a fully remote role serving the Americas region. You will manage close processes, consolidate reporting, and provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership.

This position requires a CPA, 5+ years of close leadership in a public company, deep U.S. GAAP knowledge, and hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• CPA license.
• 5+ years overseeing close in a publicly traded manufacturing company with revenue >$1B.
• 10+ years financial reporting in a multi-entity environment.
• 10+ years consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• 5+ years working under a 23 day month-end close timeline.
• 5+ years leading a team of 6+ accounting professionals.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and its application to reporting and controllership.
• Experience with SOX and internal controls over financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities.
• Ensure accurate, timely US GAAP financial reporting.
• Lead a team of accounting professionals (6+).
• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Review consolidated reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and recommendations.
• Partner with senior finance leadership for strategic decisions.
• Support and enhance SOX controls and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
