Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Assistant Controller for a fully remote role aligned to Eastern or Central Time Zones. You will lead accounting operations across the Americas for a large multinational manufacturer, overseeing close processes, intercompany activity, and external audits.

Lead a team of accounting professionals, ensure timely and accurate GAAP reporting, and drive continuous process improvements within a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Qualifications

• CPA licensed and CPA active.
• 5+ years overseeing month-end close in a publicly traded manufacturer.
• 10+ years financial reporting in multi-entity environment.
• 10+ years consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• 5+ years leading a team of 6+ accounting professionals.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls/SOX.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities in Americas region.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting per U.S. GAAP.
• Lead and develop accounting professionals (team of 6+).
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and records maintenance.
• Review consolidated reporting and intercompany accounting for a large public company.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control improvements.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors.
