Job summary

Rob Levine Law seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the monthly close and financial reporting across the firm’s entities. You will manage the accounting team, review journal entries, and drive consolidation, controls, and audits while coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Eight or more years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or review role.
• Deep experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting; related-party service companies preferred.
• Demonstrated experience designing internal controls and coordinating external audits and tax filings.
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting and payroll tax compliance; expert with QuickBooks/Intuit and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close calendar for all managed entities, assign close tasks, track progress and ensure timely deliverables.
• Review and approve month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and close workbooks prepared by staff.
• Deliver monthly and annual financial statements and departmental reports to Finance leadership; lead forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidation across entities; manage eliminations and intercompany differences.
• Design, maintain and monitor internal controls over financial reporting; oversee audit and tax filings.
• Lead AI strategy usage in finance tools and ensure outputs are validated against source data.
