Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead accounting for a multi-entity, multinational Americas business. You will drive monthly close, consolidate reporting, and partner with senior leadership to deliver timely, accurate financial statements under US GAAP.

The role requires CPA with 10+ years in financial reporting and public-company experience. It offers a fully remote arrangement within the US, with near-term focus on process improvements and audit coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license required.
• 5+ years overseeing close in a publicly traded manufacturing environment.
• 10+ years financial reporting in a multi-entity environment.
• 10+ years consolidations and intercompany accounting experience.
• Experience with SOX and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Strong ERP proficiency and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely US GAAP financial reporting.
• Lead and develop a team of at least six accounting professionals.
• Manage general ledger activities: entries, reconciliations, and records.
• Coordinate external audits and support SOX compliance.
• Provide financial insights to senior leadership for decision making.
• Drive process improvements in reporting and controllership practices.
• Operate ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Workday) effectively.
• Support consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and efficiency.
