Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Assistant Controller for a fully remote role serving the Americas region, overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close under U.S. GAAP.

Lead a team of accounting professionals, manage intercompany and consolidations, support SOX controls, and coordinate external audits while partnering with senior finance leadership. This role relies on ERP expertise (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday) and advanced Excel to drive reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting and active CPA license.
• 5+ years overseeing close processes in a publicly traded manufacturing company.
• 10+ years of financial reporting in a multi-entity environment.
• 10+ years of consolidations and intercompany accounting experience.
• 5+ years managing a team of 6+ accounting professionals.
• Deep U.S. GAAP knowledge and SOX/internal controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities.
• Ensure timely, accurate US GAAP financial reporting.
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals (6+).
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and records.
• Coordinate consolidated reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Provide technical accounting recommendations to leadership.
• Support SOX compliance and internal controls improvements.
• Coordinate external audits and communicate with auditors.
