Job summary

Willdan seeks an Assistant Construction Manager for nationwide travel to support the administration, coordination, and controls of design/construction projects. You will work with Project Managers to plan, schedule, document, report, and coordinate stakeholders to ensure client requirements are met.

The role emphasizes maintaining project records, timely progress reporting, and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience in construction industry or similar.
• Experience with City, State and/or Government work.
• Ability to manage detailed processes and problem solve quickly in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service background with proven customer satisfaction results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized and professional.
• Knowledge of construction management software and project scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Support project coordination and documentation with stakeholders.
• Assist Project Managers and Construction Managers in all phases of the project with documentation and logistics support.
• Provide administrative support to field staff.
• Document safety compliance standards in the field.
• Support project stakeholders in maintaining project data management system.
• Support logistics in the field as directed by key project stakeholders.
• Support billing procedures and timely processing of invoicing.
• Review specifications and drawings and track critical path items.
• Manage meeting minutes and distribute to stakeholders.
• Obtain and maintain all required documentation per contract.
• Coordinate reviews for RFIs and submittals with engineers.
