Job summary

Willdan is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support project administration, coordination, and controls for design and construction initiatives. You will work closely with Project Managers to plan, schedule, document, report, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery that meets client requirements.

The role emphasizes on-site field support, quality documentation, and compliance with contract procedures, with a nationwide travel schedule of 3 weeks on-site and 1

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience in construction industry or government work.
• Ability to manage detailed processes and problem solve quickly in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project coordination and documentation with stakeholders.
• Assist Project Managers and Construction Manager in all phases and logistics.
• Provide administrative support to field staff.
• Document safety compliance standards in the field.
• Support data management and prepare ad-hoc reports.
• Assist with meeting minutes and distribution to stakeholders.
• Obtain and maintain required documentation per contract.
• Review RFIs and submittals and coordinate with engineers.
• Support change order documentation and file management.
• Assemble close-out documents and ensure contractor compliance.
