Job summary

Willdan is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to provide project administration, coordination, and controls support for design and construction projects. The role works closely with Project Managers to plan, schedule, document, report, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant delivery of client work.

Responsibilities include maintaining control documents, tracking progress, supporting budgets and schedules, and ensuring quality across project documents.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience in construction industry or government work.
• Ability to manage detailed processes and problem solve quickly in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to support project coordination and documentation.
• Assist Project Managers and Construction Managers in all phases of the project with documentation and logistics support.
• Provide administrative support to Field Staff.
• Document safety compliance standards are adhered to in field.
• Support project stakeholders in maintaining project data management system.
• Support billing procedures and timely processing of invoicing.
• Review specifications and drawings and become familiar with the project and critical path items.
• Manage meeting minutes and distribution to key project stakeholders.
• Obtain and maintain all required documentation as per the contract.
• Ensure timely reviews for all RFIs and Submittals, including coordination with engineers.
• Provide administrative support for change order documentation.
• Assemble close out documents and address non-compliant Contractors for compliance.
• Prepare and communicate ad-hoc reports as required.
