Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a part-time, remote STAGES Sign Language Interpreter (1099 contractor) to interpret and transliterate academic content for D/HH students within virtual instruction.

The role collaborates with teachers, caregivers, and related service providers to ensure IEP-aligned services and access to curriculum. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of educational interpreting experience, virtual interpretation experience, and appropriate certification/licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience interpreting in educational environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience providing interpreting services virtually.
• National Interpreter Certification and/or state licensure for educational interpreter.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and transliterate content in live, synchronous virtual classes per IEPs.
• Adapt language and materials to student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and service providers for compliant service delivery.
• Attend IEP meetings and serve as a liaison among students, staff, and families.
