Job summary

Stride, Inc. seeks a STAGES Sign Language Interpreter (CONTRACTOR) to translate academic content for D/HH students in a remote, part-time capacity.

The role operates under an Independent Consultant (1099) arrangement and supports IEP-directed services across virtual environments. Ideal candidates will have NIC or state licensure, at least 1 year of educational interpreting experience, and proficiency with MS 365.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience interpreting in educational environment.
• Minimum 1 year experience providing interpreting services virtually.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and transliterate live, synchronous virtual academic content to support D/HH students.
• Adapt language and materials to student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, caregivers and service providers to align with IEPs.
• Attend IEP meetings as needed and provide language support in group sessions.
• Provide expressive and voice interpretation of classroom instruction and extracurricular activities.
