Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. is seeking an Area Sales Manager to grow relationships with distributors and dealers, and to drive awareness and demand for AZEK and TimberTech products among builders, architects and installers.

You will travel as needed, deliver field training, and manage dealer plans while reporting to a Regional Sales Manager for the Southwest region. You will develop and maintain key dealer relationships, coordinate end-user events, and support warranty and customer

Qualifications

• 3–10+ years of outside sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with consultative selling and negotiation sales processes.
• Valid driving license and ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a target list of dealers, architects, builders, remodelers and contractors/installers.
• Maintain aggressive end user call schedule to generate awareness of AZEK/TimberTech products.
• Provide in-field training to builders, remodelers, installers and other end users.
• Develop and maintain relationships with select dealers and their sales reps.
• Schedule and conduct field sales calls with dealer and distributor reps.
• Create distributor plans, monitor performance and take corrective action when needed.
• Train dealer and distributor reps where applicable.
• Advise on use of marketing and promotional funds with distributors.
• Respond to end user questions about products, availability and terms.
