Job summary

NANA Management Services seeks a Remote Armed Security Officer to provide professional armed security services for commercial clients in remote environments, primarily at the Kuparuk oil field, protecting personnel, facilities, and assets through proactive security operations and access control.

This position follows a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation and is based at the Kuparuk oil field, requiring teamwork, adherence to policies, and a focus on safety in Arctic conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Ability to obtain an Alaska Guard License prior to employment and pass firearms qualification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine armed security patrols of assigned buildings, facilities, and grounds by foot, vehicle, or electronic monitoring systems.
• Control access to client facilities by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and authorized personnel.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and other access points to ensure security and report deficiencies.
• Observe, document, and report property damage, suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security incidents.
• Enforce policies and remove unauthorized persons from the property when appropriate.
• Notify personnel of visitors and coordinate visitor access.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, fires, and other critical situations to protect life and property.
• Operate and maintain camp billeting, visitor management, and electronic access control systems.
