Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking an Accounts Resolution Specialist to ensure proper billing and reimbursement across our remote team. You will work with insurance companies to expedite payments and manage denials, leveraging WAYSTAR and Avatar for documentation.

The role requires 2 years in claims follow-up, 2 years of denial management, 5 years in a physician/facility business office, and 1 year of remote work. A high school diploma is required; a health care degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of insurance claims follow-up required.
• 2 years of claim denial management required.
• 5 years of experience within a physician and/or facility business office.
• 1 year of experience working in a remote environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on daily accounts to reduce A/R.
• Validate denied claims and determine denial resolution (authorization/retro authorization/precertification).
• Submit appeal letters and payer documents using WAYSTAR.
• Prioritize work to improve collections efficiency.
• Document actions in Avatar and WAYSTAR with standardized notes.
• Meet department productivity targets.
• Communicate opportunities with leadership using SBAR.
• Follow CHS leadership and participate in AR reduction initiatives.
• Troubleshoot tech issues and assist with correspondence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
