Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Manager of Accounts Receivable Processing and Reconciliation to lead AR month-end close, billing, and reporting. You will oversee AR accounts, ensure accurate GL postings, and mentor the AR team in a large, complex transportation network.

The role requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and at least five years of related experience, with strong ERP and MS Office proficiency. Teleworking is available one day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Strong Excel/Access skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage a professional staff and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, AR reports, and GL reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly AR-related billing and collection reports.
• Manage GL activities and journal entries for AR accounts.
• Direct variance analysis and corrective actions to the GL.
• Mentor staff, cross-train, and update accounting procedures.
• Coordinate with internal/external audits and respond to requests.
