Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support Accounts Receivable billing, record keeping, and collections. You will liaise with project management and internal/external customers to ensure accurate and timely billing and cash collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 4 years progressive financial/accounting experience with a major government or corporate entity; master's can substitute for two years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end system closing and reconcile work order reports to the general ledger.
• Maintain internal databases and post AR reports for public access; collaborate with project managers for reporting and auditing.
• Provide AR cost reporting and analysis; manage cash, work orders, and collection efforts.
• Support Senior Manager in day-to-day AR reporting and process reviews.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests; perform other duties as assigned.
