Job summary

MediaNews Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This remote role supports credit, collections, billing, and cash receipts, with an 8:00am-5:00pm MST schedule and Ohio/Colorado residency requirement.

The role emphasizes monitoring aging, credit analysis, collections outreach, and collaboration with departments. Strong Excel, 10-key, and accounting system familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Excel and 10-key data entry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor A/R aging and customer accounts to minimize past due accounts.
• Perform customer credit analysis as needed.
• Initiate collections via calls, emails, and letters.
• Collaborate with Circulation and Advertising Managers on collection actions.
• Maintain A/R collections module in systems.
