Job summary

Ladder is seeking an SecOps/AppSec Engineer to embed security throughout our development cycles. You will own vulnerability management, review cloud security, and respond to incidents while working closely with backend engineers in a remote-capable role.

Experience with Clojure, JVM, and modern cloud tooling is essential. The role includes mentoring peers, contributing to governance, and supporting compliance activities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure and working within the JVM environment.
• Experience securing modern cloud infrastructures and incident response.
• Strong problem-solving and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Own application security vulnerability management within engineering lifecycles.
• Monitor and optimize cloud security posture using SIEM/SOAR tools.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for internal architecture, vendors, and APIs.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure defaults.
