Job summary

Ladder is seeking a SecOps/AppSec Engineer (Clojure required) to drive vulnerability management within our development lifecycles. You will monitor cloud security posture, conduct risk reviews, and collaborate with backend teams to fix code-level security issues on a JVM stack.

The role demands hands-on Clojure experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, remote environment across multiple US states.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on coding in Clojure and JVM environment.
• Experience securing cloud infrastructures and incident response.
• Ability to review security risk and align with compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Secure the Code by partnering with development teams on vulnerability management.
• Security Ops: monitor cloud posture using SIEM/SOAR/CSP tools and respond to threats.
• Governance & Risk: conduct security reviews of architecture, vendors, and APIs.
• Manage day-to-day workspace security including IAM and device compliance.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure defaults.
