Job summary

Ladder is seeking a SecOps/AppSec Engineer with Clojure experience to own application security across our development lifecycles. You will focus on vulnerability management, participate in code-level reviews, and strengthen shift-left security in a JVM/Clojure stack.

The role combines security operations with risk assessments, incident response, and compliance support in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure and working within the JVM.
• Cloud security, incident response, and risk assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Secure the codebase by leading application security vulnerability management across development lifecycles.
• Monitor and improve cloud security posture using SIEM/SOAR/CNAPP tools.
• Conduct security risk reviews and support audits and compliance activities.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure defaults.
