Job summary

Ladder is seeking a SecOps/AppSec Engineer to own vulnerability management across engineering lifecycles, focusing on a heavy Clojure backend. The role blends security operations, risk reviews, and compliance in a fast-scaling environment, with remote work supported in many states.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in security or software, strong Clojure/JVM skills, cloud security experience, and relevant certifications. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure and JVM
• Experience securing modern cloud infrastructures and incident response
• Ability to design security frameworks that scale with growth
• Baseline certs such as CompTIA Security+; CISSP preferred

Responsibilities

• Champion application security vulnerability management with development teams
• Monitor and respond to threats using SIEM/SOAR/CSP/CNAPP
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for architecture and APIs
• Maintain workspace and identity access management securely and efficiently
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure defaults
