Job summary

Ladder is seeking a SecOps/AppSec Engineer with strong Clojure experience to drive vulnerability management within our development lifecycles. You will work across cloud security, risk reviews, and compliance while shaping secure coding practices and incident response.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, monitor security tools, and help ensure our infrastructure stays locked down in a fast-paced environment. Remote role across 23 states in the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure in a JVM environment and reading functional code.
• Cloud SecOps practitioner with incident response experience.

Responsibilities

• Secure the Code (Primary): partner with development teams on application security vulnerability management.
• Security Ops: monitor cloud security posture using SIEM/SOAR/CSP/CNAPP to detect and respond to threats in real time.
• Governance & Risk: perform security reviews and risk assessments of internal architecture, vendors, and APIs for risk tolerance and compliance.
• Maintain corporate workspace security including IAM, device compliance, and productivity tools.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and scalable risk decisions.
