Job summary

Ladder is seeking an experienced SecOps/AppSec Engineer to drive application security vulnerability management across engineering teams. You will work within a JVM stack, primarily Clojure, and engage in risk assessments and security reviews while monitoring cloud infrastructure.

You will mentor developers on secure coding, manage identity and access controls, and collaborate with incident response to strengthen our shift-left security posture. This is a remote role based in the United States.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure and JVM.
• Experience securing cloud infrastructures and incident response.
• Experience with Security Operations tools (SIEM, SOAR, CSP, CNAPP) to detect and respond to threats.
• Ability to mentor engineers on secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Secure the Code: Partner with development teams to champion application security vulnerability management.
• Security Ops: Configure, fine-tune, and monitor cloud security posture with SIEM/SOAR/CSP/CNAPP to detect threats in real time.
• Governance & Risk: Conduct Security Reviews and risk assessments of internal architecture, vendors, and APIs to ensure risk tolerance and compliance.
• Maintain and optimize day-to-day corporate workspace security, including identity access management and device compliance.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and scalable risk decisions.
