Job summary

Legrand's Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA is seeking an Applications Engineer II to join remotely with about 25% travel to customer sites. You will provide engineering expertise, project management, and commercial support across customer projects, drafting offers, resolving technical issues, and supporting satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred) or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with busbar/busduct systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical writing.
• Ability to travel up to 25 percent, primarily within North America, with potential for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-level expertise in product knowledge and application.
• Design system layouts for busduct systems based on site surveys, customer drawings, project tenders, and field input.
• Utilize AutoCAD (mechanical and electrical) for layout and design tasks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including catalog sheets, FAQs, technical briefs, reports, and installation instructions.
• Provide technical and commercial support to sales teams and customers—onsite or remotely—on topics such as product estimation, RFQ support, ratings, regulatory compliance, safety, customization, troubleshooting, installation, and pricing.
