Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II in Canonsburg, PA to support the Power & Thermal Management division and Starline product commercialization. You will develop manufacturable designs, generate documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 2+ years of experience and are willing to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
• Prior experience with Starline products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and implement DFM/DFT/DFTA and full turnkey solutions.
• Support the team with commercialization and launch of Starline products.
• Assist with customer-specific product customizations and engineering tasks.
• Create technical drawings, instructions, purchasing specifications, and manuals.
• Support integration of third-party products with Starline offerings.
• Conduct testing, verify performance, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure manufacturability.
• Improve engineering information systems and automate design tasks.
• Provide guidance to drafters and review others' work.
• Offer jobsite support and liaise with certification labs (e.g., VDE).
• Participate in team initiatives across Starline.
