Job summary

Fairfax Imaging is a market-leading provider of government payment and document processing software in North America. This remote role as Support Services Engineer makes you the first point of contact for customers, owning tickets and driving to resolution using a three-layer platform with Core Product, customizations, and a support-engineered layer.

You will triage, communicate clearly, review code, implement fixes in C#/.NET and React/TS, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Exceptional troubleshooting ability to diagnose configurations, code defects, or environment issues.
• Ability to read logs, trace errors, and debug in a structured way.
• Proficiency with C#/.NET and SQL required.

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage incoming support tickets across multiple customers, maintaining SLA response and resolution.
• Communicate with customers to set expectations, provide status updates, and translate technical problems into plain language.
• Read existing code and design documents to understand customer environments before issues arise.
• Implement code fixes in C#/.NET and React/TS for production and test environments.
• Escalate tickets with thorough documentation when deeper engineering is needed.
• Review software releases, test cloud environments, and coordinate releases with customers.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 after hours support.
• Document issues, resolutions, and institutional knowledge for the team.
