Job summary

Cardata is seeking an Accounting Clerk to run AP/AR processes and collaborate with Customer Support and Operations to move faster and scale with clarity. This hands-on role focuses on resilient financial workflows that help every person at Cardata grow and perform.

You'll manage invoices, payments, and reconciliations, and support the period close while delivering accurate financial information to operations. Remote-friendly role based in Canada with EST hours.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of accounting experience required.
• University degree or college diploma in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Motivated with initiative and ability to work autonomously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Process-oriented with focus on efficiency and clean workflows.
• Adaptable to evolving systems, procedures, and accounting tools.
• Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a customer-service attitude.
• Based in Canada, EST business hours.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the accounts receivable process: generate customer invoices, record payments received, and maintain accurate customer account records. Reach out to customers regarding outstanding balances or payment clarification.
• Own the accounts payable process: review and process vendor invoices, ensure proper GL coding and approvals, and facilitate vendor payments.
• Process, collect, and track customer payments, including reconciling funds for reimbursement processing and ensuring payment accuracy and completeness.
• Support our period close: assist with credit card and bank account reconciliations; identity and resolve issues to keep financials clean and complete.
• Partner closely with Operations and Customer Success teams by preparing and sharing essential financial information that supports decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis.
