Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an Angular/NodeJS Developer for a remote, full-time role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The position requires 8+ years in software development with backend focus (Java and/or NodeJS) and strong Angular experience, and familiarity with healthcare data.

You will design RESTful APIs, build a cloud-based dashboard on AWS, collaborate with C#/.NET and data engineers, and contribute to code quality through tests and reviews. U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with strong backend focus (Java and/or NodeJS).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Angular experience and API integration.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS) and GitHub workflows.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, migrate, and support a cloud-based Web Dashboard processing healthcare EDI transactions.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to serve healthcare data.
• Collaborate with Angular front-end developers and back-end data engineers.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Deploy and monitor back-end services on AWS.
