Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an Angular/NodeJS Developer for a remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. The position focuses on building dashboards and services that process healthcare EDI data, integrating with APIs, and ensuring scalable delivery in AWS.

The role requires strong backend experience in Java/NodeJS, Angular, and API design, with 8+ years in software development and healthcare data familiarity. U.S. Citizenship and Public Trust eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus (Java and/or NodeJS).
• 8+ years designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments.
• Experience with Angular front-end UI and integrating APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application processing healthcare EDI transactions.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for EDI healthcare records.
• Integrate with internal APIs, EDI pipelines, and data services to deliver live/history EDI data.
