Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an experienced Angular/NodeJS Developer to design and deliver a cloud-based dashboard for healthcare EDI data. This remote, full-time role supports the Veterans Affairs (VA) department and requires strong back-end in Java/NodeJS, front-end Angular, and AWS deployment.

You will build RESTful APIs, collaborate with C#/.Net and AWS data engineers, perform testing, and participate in an Agile environment. U.S. Citizenship is required for this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong back-end focus (Java and/or NodeJS).
• 8+ years of designing and consuming RESTful APIs in healthcare or enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Angular experience with API integration and front-end components.

Responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard that processes healthcare EDI transactions.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS to transform and serve EDI data.
• Integrate with internal APIs, EDI pipelines, and data services for reliable live data delivery.
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end and ensure accurate data surfacing.
• Collaborate with C#/.Net and AWS data engineers on API contracts and data delivery.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Perform unit and integration testing across back-end services and API layers.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and performance of back-end services on AWS.
• Apply best software practices within an Agile framework and use Git for version control.
