Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Analytics Lead for Compliance Shared Services in the United States to design and govern automated monitoring across multi-product consumer lending. You translate regulatory obligations into data checks, own regulatory examinations data, and guide a junior analyst in day-to-day work.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Product, Internal Audit, and bank partners to extend coverage and ensure audit-ready evidence while leveraging AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in compliance analytics, monitoring or surveillance, transaction testing, audit analytics, or a comparable data role in consumer lending, banking, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with a modern cloud data stack such as Snowflake and Databricks, including building and operating automated pipelines, dashboards, and data quality checks.
• Working knowledge of consumer credit regulations such as TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, EFTA/Reg E, FCRA, SCRA, MLA, TCPA, and state lending, licensing, and usury requirements.
• Bidirectional fluency: you read a regulation and know the data question it implies, and you read a data anomaly and know the regulatory question it raises.
• Evidence-grade rigor: you reconcile, validate, reproduce, and document your work for audit readiness under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, operation, and governance of automated compliance monitoring; translate obligations into rule-based detective controls.
• Serve as the primary data owner for regulatory examinations, licensing audits, and bank partner exam requests; scope, validate, document, and respond on deadlines.
• Triage monitoring exceptions and data anomalies; route findings to resolution paths and validate remediations.
• Map automated checks to regulatory requirements; connect monitoring to the control inventory and regulatory questions.
• Drive the automation roadmap; build pipelines and self-service tools with AI-assisted development and human-in-the-loop validation.
• Steward the data environment; resolve data access constraints and maintain queries, playbooks, and methodology docs.
• Provide day-to-day direction and training for a supporting data analyst to foster independence.
• Partner with Engineering, Legal, Product, Internal Audit, and bank partners to expand monitoring across products and jurisdictions.
