Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Analytics Lead, Strategic Insights for Compliance Shared Services to own compliance analytics and automated monitoring for a multi-product consumer lending business. You translate regulatory obligations into data checks and produce audit-ready evidence for regulators, auditors, and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance Programs, you guide a data analyst, design monitoring, and collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Product, Internal Audit, and bank partners

Qualifications

• 5+ years in compliance analytics, monitoring, or comparable data role in regulated industry.
• Advanced SQL and experience with cloud data stacks (Snowflake/Databricks).
• Knowledge of consumer credit regulations and translating obligations into data logic.
• Ability to convert data anomalies into regulatory questions and provide clear answers.
• Experience guiding or mentoring junior analysts for independence.
• Strong written and verbal communication to legal, compliance, and executive teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, operation, and governance of automated compliance monitoring with rule-based controls.
• Serve as primary data owner for regulatory examinations and bank partner requests; scope, extract, validate, and document.
• Triage data anomalies, route to remediation, and provide validation and evidence review.
• Map automated checks to regulatory requirements and maintain control inventory.
• Drive automation roadmap by turning recurring reports into pipelines and self-service tools.
• Maintain the data environment, including sources of truth, access, and runbooks.
• Coach a data analyst and provide onboarding and guidance for end-to-end ownership.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Product, Internal Audit, and bank partners to expand coverage.
