Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks a field-based sales scientist to partner with life science customers and support AKTA chromatography workflows through expert product knowledge and applications training.

This remote, territory-based role covers the US West region and focuses on growing instrument, resin, column, and software sales. You will manage the sales funnel in Salesforce and collaborate with applications, service, and marketing teams to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of protein purification and chromatography workflows.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to scientific audiences.
• Customer-focused with strong relationship-building and funnel-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with life science customers to support chromatography workflows through expert product knowledge and training.
• Identify opportunities and generate new business for the AKTA portfolio and related offerings.
• Meet annual sales targets and manage funnel and forecasting in Salesforce.
• Build relationships with key decision makers, researchers, and laboratory stakeholders.
• Drive adoption of AKTA chromatography platforms for protein purification and related applications.
